Day Programs

Our day program facility provides evidence based group therapy for a range of mental health difficulties. Our groups are facilitated by qualified multi-disciplinary mental health professionals. Below is a list of mental health treatment programs that we are currently operating:

Schema Therapy explores what we learn early in our lives and its influence on the development of our beliefs and coping behaviours. This program aims to heal participant’s unhelpful schemas. It is suited to those with chronic interpersonal difficulties and emotional regulation issue like those who have experienced early trauma or have borderline personality or other personality disorder traits.

Runs on Mondays or Thursdays.

DBT is a program designed to help people deal with strong emotions, impulsivity, difficulties in their relationships and/ or suicidal/self-harming thoughts and behaviours. The program involves individual and group support and covers topics including Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness and Distress Tolerance.

Runs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursday evenings (individual session on another day)

Through the development of mindfulness skills participants learn to recognise unhelpful reactions to experiences which maintain depression and anxiety. Participants will come to understand how being mindful can change these reactions and ultimately reduce psychological suffering.Runs on Tuesdays.

MBCT is a 10 week program targeted at learning mindfulness skills to reduce the recurrence of depression and other common mental health issues such as chronic anxiety.

Runs on Wednesdays – 10 week group.

This program develops mindfulness skills focused on nurturing self-compassion as well compassion towards others. This group follows on from MBCT for those who wish to further explore their mindfulness practice.

ACT aims to minimise the avoidant behaviour common in anxiety disorders and help participants live a rich, full, and meaningful life. Participants will learn to not be controlled by their unhelpful thoughts, feelings, and urges and will learn to identify, clarify, and work towards what is most important in their life (i.e. values).

Runs on Wednesdays – 10 week group.

This program assists participants in gaining insight into the thinking-feeling-behaviour connection to overcome depression and anxiety. It offers strategies to deal more effectively with depression and anxiety symptoms, provides psychoeducation and includes exposure therapy.

Art Therapy uses the creative process of “art making” to improve physical, psychological and emotional wellbeing.

Runs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays.

The Total Wellness Program (TWP) offers a diverse range of therapeutic approaches to assist those struggling to manage their mental health. We will provide a variety of different activities but with a stable, consistent structure for participants to safely work on their difficulties. TWP is facilitated by a wide variety of disciplines, involving Psychologists, Social Work, Dietician, Exercise Physiologist, Consumer Consultant, and so on. Interventions include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectic behavioural therapy (DBT), schema therapy, mindfulness, exercise sessions, dietetic information and more.
