Day Programs

Our day program facility provides evidence based group therapy for a range of mental health difficulties. Our groups are facilitated by qualified multi-disciplinary mental health professionals. Below is a list of mental health treatment programs that we are currently operating:

Schema Therapy explores what we learn early in our lives and its influence on the development of our beliefs and coping behaviours. This program aims to heal participant's unhelpful schemas. It is suited to those with chronic interpersonal difficulties and issues with emotion regulation issue like those who have experienced early trauma or have Borderline Personality or other personality disorder traits.

Runs on Mondays.

DBT is a program designed to help people deal with strong emotions, impulsivity, difficulties in their relationships and/ or suicidal/self-harming thoughts and behaviours. The program involves individual and group support and covers topics including Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness and Distress Tolerance.

Runs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursday evenings (individual session on another day)

ACT aims to minimise the avoidant behaviour common in anxiety disorders and help participants live a rich, full, and meaningful life. Participants will learn to not be controlled by their unhelpful thoughts, feelings, and urges and will learn to identify, clarify, and work towards what is most important in their life (i.e. values).

Runs on Wednesdays - 10 week group.

Mindfulness is consciously bringing awareness to your here-and-now experience with openness, interest and without judgment. Mindfulness-based therapies have been well-documented to show a reduction in mental health symptoms, a reduction in impulsive and/or unhelpful behaviours, and an improvement in well-being and quality of life. The program will be facilitated by both a Psychologist and an Art Therapist, and will incorporate art therapy and other experiential techniques to explore mindfulness concepts.

This is a 12 week group.

CBT in Action (CBTA) is an outpatient program combining Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Exercise Physiology. CBTA aims to offer psychological strategies and exercise-based strategies to deal more effectively with mental health difficulties such as depression, anxiety and stress. The program is designed for individuals who experience any type of mental health symptoms.

The program runs twice per week for 6 weeks and is a half a day program.
